Friends of the Library - Columbus Open Studio & Stage

Friends of the Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) organization made up of everyday customers and advocates that are passionate about our library.

Building awareness and resources to champion the mission of Columbus Metropolitan Library.

We provide reach and resources beyond what the library can do on its own. We work closely with library leadership and staff in every branch to determine where our support can make a difference. That’s why the Friends are proud to fund critical programs such as Summer Reading Club, Homework Help Centers and Teen Read Week that are major touchstones of the library experience. We also support library levy campaigns, which provide public funding for the library.

Explore recent artwork from more than 30 artists participating in the Columbus Open Studio & Stage (COSS) tour. This preview exhibition is the perfect opportunity to see the diversity of styles, disciplines and mediums of the COSS artists prior to touring their studios in late September. Visit the Main Library’s Carnegie Gallery before September 30 to get a taste for what the COSS tour will offer.
