Mindy Staley studied art education at OSU, and has been teaching art in Whitehall City Schools for 20 years. She is a creative, and the images of bridges, rhinos and faces in her acrylic paintings speak of overcoming fears, being tough and developing positive relationships despite complications and discomfort.

Through painting, I recognized my fear of being exposed that kept me from completing artwork. My creative habit makes my vulnerability more visible to the world, and strengthens my rhino tough skin and resolve to share. I strive not to allow my sensitivity of criticism keep me from creatively contributing.

The space will be filled to the brim with life, music and art, including mixed media, paintings and works in progress.
