Parking will be available on both sides of Bryden in front of my home studio. Volunteers from Brandt-Roberts Galleries will be present to greet you, bring you into my studio, and help discuss my work. You will see my realistic oil paintings of human figures and still-lifes, both works-in-progress as well as completed paintings. While you’re in the area, be sure to visit Rebecca Jadway, Richard Duarte Brown, Mindy Staley, Gail Larned and Eric Marlow just a few minutes away.
Born in 1982, Kendric earned a BA in English from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2004. Uncertain about his future, he lived in Japan for a year, travelling, teaching, and–most of all–drawing, before deciding to seek artistic training. He studied at the Florence Academy of Art, and graduated in 2010.
The human experience is at the center of my work: it drives my paintings through the most universal of all subjects, the human figure. My paintings, whatever other subject they may include, depict individual people, opened up to universal feelings.
I will be painting still-lifes and portraits during the tour, and will speak about my process and working methods to visitors.
