Amy Adams - Columbus Open Studio & Stage

24 Lincoln Street Art Studios is located in the fabulous Short North, adjacent to the Sharon Weiss Gallery, on the second floor of Found at Sharon Weiss Gallery. The art studios are the first and only artist studios in the Short North, and boast a welcoming environment with warm light and an at-home charm. Artists Karen LaValley, Lisa Parks Godfrey and I have created a one-of-a-kind art haven, where you can watch us while we work, and simultaneously take in all of our current work hanging in and around our studios. In addition, you can explore and enjoy all of the artists on view at the Sharon Weiss Gallery and Found. During the weekend of COSS, I will be demonstrating throughout the day Sunday. Saturday afternoon in the Short North is a perfect time to come visit our studios, and then grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurant options. Parking in the Short North is easy with the PARK CBUS app, or in the Joseph Parking garage. If you’re visiting on Sunday, all meter parking is free downtown.

Amy Adams is a third generation artist from Denver. She studied fine art in college and had an award-winning career as a graphic designer before moving to Columbus in 2011. Her formal training in oil painting comes from time spent studying at the Art Students League of Denver.

In my work I focus on capturing the beauty of the details found in light and shadows. Currently, I am exploring how form is defined by the shift in value relationships. I work in the impressionistic style. Images of rural Ohio, specifically farm animals, are favorite subjects of mine.

I will be demonstrating a still life painting technique.
