Painting, Mixed Media

Growing up, Mindy Staley hid from her talent. Criticism fed her doubt, fear, and uncertainty as an artist. After encouraging and inspiring youth with art for more than 15 years, an epiphany came through encouragement from an artist to have “rhino tough” skin. The rhino became her artistic voice.

“My work reflects the places I have been and the people’s lives I have encountered. The images of bridges and rhinos in my work speak of overcoming fears, being tough and developing positive relationships despite problems and disadvantages.”
