Visitors are welcome to park on our street in front of our house. We ask that the driveway be left open so there is a direct walkway into our studio. Guests will be greeted near the driveway and pointed in the direction of our studio which is located in our garage. Lance and I will be doing demonstrations of the different stages of our process including wheel throwing, trimming, carving and glazing. We will have work in progress on display to help explain the steps and stages to our visitors. We also plan to give demonstrations of how we load our kilns. We look forward to seeing you!
Lisa Belsky and Lance Thompson are a husband and wife pottery team based out of Columbus, Ohio. They met in 2006 while studying Ceramics at The Ohio State University. In 2015 they received the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Visual Arts Fellowship and were honored to exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Art.
Our work is a celebration of the handmade utilitarian object. We focus primarily on items that are intended for daily use. Handmade functional objects are unique because they quietly ask us to pay more attention to details that are easily overlooked through the course of everyday life.
