Christopher Burk - Columbus Open Studio & Stage

On arrival, visitors will park in the lot directly across the street from Blockfort. They’ll be greeted at the main door by a volunteer that will then direct them to my studio located in the main hallway off of the building’s gallery space. Once visitors are in my studio they will see examples of current paintings that’ll be in various stages of completion for both local, and nationwide shows.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design and at the Myers School of Art at the University of Akron. He has exhibited extensively, including shows at the Viridian Gallery (NYC), Brandt-Roberts Galleries, and the Columbus Cultural Arts Center.

Unique forms and compositions found in our everyday exterior environments are the subjects that I consistently seek. They become the major contributors to my work, which showcases the mundane within the landscape and how these forms interact with one another in the composition.
